He poses the idea that god uses natural forces to do supernatural intervention. is it just me or is one thing more likely to an un-superstitious mind. that if a natural event occurs, it occurs naturally. A supernatural explanation is made by a mind that assigns MOTIVE to an event, just as a human mind attributes a cause to an intent of another mind. We assign attitude to a car that breaks down when we need it most, or we swear at an obstacle that trips us as we are walking, as though expressing our feelings will do the object that tripped us harm. A critical considerations is that what is written is written after an event has occurred. Because it is written after an event has occurred, a human mind records what has occurred as having done so with a motive and intent to work contrary to the intent of man. Something that I have felt flew in the face of Israel leaving Egypt is that basic understanding that Egypt at that time was a powerful nation in the area whose ruled land occupied the present land of Isreal. so IF there was an exodus, they never left the land of Egypt since Egypt ruled over the land of present day Isreal during that period. So much intellectual dishonesty in this historian who seems to not be truthful and misleads his audience by omitting facts that would lessen the praise of possible admirers whose ego he flatters. What I see when I listen to him is an individual who has either an untrained objective mind, or a dishonest arrogant person who takes advantage of the ignorance of his audience to feed his egocentric narcissistic needs.
